Roman Catholic Liturgical Blog
The Catholic Church in English speaking countries will introduce new language to the celebration of the Mass. The change can be traced to Pope John Paul II and his desire to have a more literal translation of scripture reflected in the Mass. The change will represent some of the most visible differences in the sacramental service in four decades.
Reforms to the Catholic Mass prompted the creation of a blog to help usher in these revisions: MassExplained.com. The site leverages the latest technology which allows users to post their comments, share any article on FaceBook, LinkedIn, Google +1, Twitter or StumbleUpon and easily translate the site to any 1 of over 150 languages. In addition, users will be able to purchase books on the site through Amazon.com.
